SCC

Today, I have been mainly a journalist for Eureka Online Innovations Magazine…shh. As such, I gained exclusive access to MOD Thorney Island to witness a trial of the SSC [steam car challenge] aiming to set the land speed record for a steam powered CAR!!
The driver was Sir Malcolm Campbell's grandson - Donald Wales. He really WASN'T [or wasn’t] going to reveal what medical procedure he’d had recently. I interjected with rather journalistic [getting right into character I thought] tenacity when, in reply to requests from the Daily Mail man for him to smile more for the camera, he declared that he was dosed on pain killers. Not even the T/PR girl knew - but luckily the relatively green project manager forgot to pack the spare
thermocouples [bi-metallic temperature sensors]. As a consequence I awoke from my nap to miss the briefing [typical] informing the journalists that they had a wasted trip from London.
I, however, had not. I had to go into Emsworth anyway to deliver some books. I have also firmed up a vision for the future of [not steam turbines so much as] EXTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINES. Steam engines run on renewable fuel and burn it in the way that nature intended - at atmospheric pressure. [cars produce noxious gasses due to pressurised combustion] BUT steam engines are heavy [fuel and water] and inefficient. Use them statically and you have a different story. Motion in reciprocating engines [steam, petrol and diesel] is all about releasing gas pressure. In external combustion, the FUEL ITSELF is not pressurised . Store gas pressure - in a cylinder - air compressor ... Drive a car vastly lighter less expensive / complex / dangerous [no explosive fuel or explosions].. Bish basche bosche and that’s it and all about d'it. Compress the air using whatever you want - steam engine, solar electric, you name it. Currently of course - air is free ! Even pressurised air at filling stations. Hello. Air cars are coming soon from a formula 1 engineer. Search youtube for air car. http://www.mdi.lu/english/ I told the P.R. girl - she handed me the sandwich which I'd asked her to make.
The project manager admitted to me that developing a turbine powered car had little potential to knock-on to the street. It may raise awareness and improve funding projects that might, however.
Had some fun with the army - there was a sergeant-major type who had obviously been assigned to keep us inline. He latched on to me as a
trouble-maker in no time. Perhaps I stood out as I was actually taking an interest. I said, quite simply, that he was mistaken [when he said he thought that I may have got some MOD building in a photographic shot of the car]. He had not approached Sky or BBC who were shooting directly at the building. I teased him later telling him to stand easy and that he was almost my bitch as my taxes paid his wages.
I enjoyed working with the s.c.c. team - fixing the catering tent after it blew over an urn of steaming water onto the pregnant [thank god I was right - and she wasn't just fat] PR girl - not a good day for the steam team from Lymington.

Thanks Winston

Woman in the book shop tells me the BNP are using Winston Churchill as a figurehead.. "well in those days it was England for the English." she said "so you are saying that it WAS ok then.. " I said.. she wasn't sure. "People said he was a warmonger" she said - people say I am - "but they choose not to see the provocation" [Hitler] Clem Attlee opened England up to the commonwealth apparently - quietly, without much fuss, legislation went through. What a great "Thank you" to Winston voting him in was!

Some girls do

some girls don't.. treat men like meat. If you don't come up to scratch u r scum.
If you do.. you win the chance to forego all intellect and self determination and serve a magazine-driven bimbo.

Trade wins ?

It is sexy to be arty - wacky - the Stones got laid - the suits didn't like it - they bought the Stones. The artist on the corner - same - the suited traders bought him for Athena..The kings road free spirit - total clothing rights charity shops gone mad - go down there now - elitist.. Anything that is desirable then gets a price and the traders move in. That includes football, sex, surfing, food.. rural English villages - they are full of suits in Porsches now .. What do we do ? legislate ?.. Traders also seem to have a radar against those who really ARE creative - its like they mimic the species that is competing withem and snuff out their behaviour replacing it with their own. Without creativity we are sunk. What do we trade as humans ? Products. If the human stock becomes only traders - what will they trade?

War games

A chap for whom I have much respect and with whom I enjoy almost total alignment in terms of points-of-view said - if there was a war ..[all boys brought up in pampered cossetted female dominated environs.playing computer games - no exercise etc] I agreed BUT actually, soon wars will be fought remotely and controlled just as in virtuual simulated war games!! It will be hardware v. hardware just as it always has been without the flesh . So exercise for troop stock is not even an issue . male instincts are redundant but you still like a fit body in the sack no? help!!

Are the genders merging or is one going to preside over t'other? Have we invented our way out of gender specifix..

carcoons

carcousses

its a DEFENSIVE thing - I have just realised. Attack being the best form of defence.

If we could adjust the psyche of the WASP [white anglo saxon plonker ] just a fraction back from neanderthal and hyenesque then car wars would be over.

It all ties in with what I was saying about the inherant minding of others' business. Its a flaw I think that drives [!] out other perfectly good citizens - to France or the moors or Sherwood forest. The instinct is valid - see blog - ...But when it becomes disproportionate and missplaced it is - in my oh so humble opinion - a DISease.

People feel UNeasy - they compensate by carcooning themseles and taking the argument TO the enemy [anyone] who canot reply or defend.. and the arms race starts as any war escalates.. As the Eirish problem - how 2 initiate disarmamment - and in a slump there is more anxt more called 2 arms..

vote winning [lazy Sunny day afternoon blog]

Expecting the average Joe to decide the economic policies of the country is like asking the patient what medicine ...ooh the sugarry one.
Those with fiscal savvy should have more votes.
That's IT and all about it.
In the old days those who owned more assets had more votes. Broadly those with more assets did in fact hae more fiscal savvy. They also had ested inteests - in order to develop their wealth.. Conflicts of interests.
Maybe an exam in economics .. higher grade - more weight of vote

4 steps counter the blues

1. Daily brain food. Fish oil - ecospentanoic acid [I will test you on this]. Capsules badged as omega 3 etc. are inflatd due to perceived value [current publicity]. Buy Cod-liver oil. It contains food for neurotransmitters. It is like changing the oil and spark plugs in the car when it is missfiring.

2. Exercise

3. Sleep

4. Do-able goals. Set yourself only goals that you can achieve. That way you always succeed. Its your life - take control. Don't let others. Mute all adverts.

listen 2 the blues

sage i c

i see the future said sage.
banks will be learnt about only in history as will printed newspapers... online virgin banks and Branson space taste 4 all. Investments will be with knowledge and 4 [ad]venture ..robotics we will invest in things we want to back - like a friend comes to you with an idea to develop a local business - this will produce work nd products locally and income for its shareholders. You judge him and his plan and decide whether it is something you want to make happe!! You do not just trawl through yellow pages for a fund manager in EC1 with a ridiculosly over-powered audi and no scruples or vision.
wingsail freight and cruises - fuel cell electric vehicles with customised "awareness" noise like ringtones as they are dangerously quiet..- external combustion engines [steam cars]
4 day week - robots do the rest - as we rest and enjoy

it will come to pass trust me

as long as we work together as a team
and that means you do everything i say to quote Charlie croker in that film based in and celebrating a time when Britain's cheeky grit, creativity, flare and .. organisation triumphed

let's make it happen

morning rant

Wen2 B& Q last night was singing along to the in-shp music.. rapidly challenged by 3 sep hombres. Subtly invading space and hovering around my rear quarters - like a horse that spooks me and i ten 2 rear up and stamp..O.K the idea is that I am paranoid .. But I am learning to trust my gut instinct. What if they wanted to exercise a primitive thwarting without detection?. I concluded it by clarifying any ambiguity by muttering Clint-like into the M10 bolts " if you wanna fight - just say so.." None of them looked the type to know what grade of tensile steel the bolts were much less ..any "muscle" . I think I'll be ok. It helps to lay down the boundaries.
I woke this morning with this: Is it characteristic of British male to suppress other males and not to try to raise their game in order to compete? Or is it a Neanderthal descent thing in all cultures? Either way I see it as a definite area to work on - awareness [See fight club] if we are to survive as a gender and not play into their hands!! By the way the full moon lurks.

Blackbird sings

The black bird is hassled and stressed in the rookery.
He must find his own kind.
Don't let all that crowing make you feel inadequate. Find your own song. It is better.
Black-eyed boy, you will find your own space and time..

CONverse

I notice more and more that the emphasis is for people not to show ANY hesitation, any whim change … certainty self-assurance at all times ..

but what’s at the root of all this apparent certainty? I muse …
–genuine self assurance?
Is it perhaps a wall to stop anyone shining the slightest criticism at them; the search lights from the nazi fortress shine brightly OUTWARDS, never in on themselves…

The word "con" comes from confidence - i.e a con man uses the natural human assuption that if something looks like a rabbit, sounds like a rabbit etc...in all probability, it is in fact a rabbit and likewise someone whom appears confidently to be what they profess to be...

you look act eat, make love like a woman but you break like a little girl..To paraphrase Bob Dylan. and I’m talking about builders!!

There seems to be a climate of intolerance - I think they blame on Thatcher..

People almost accept that is ok to take pleasure from criticising or ticking someone off.
If you break the assumptions i.e. actually talk to people in check-out queues.. you are not lynched many people will be suprised to hear.

My favourite assuption breaker is "I am sorry, am I inconveniencing you?" Say it how it is. Cos that sure as hell is the impression that they are giving. But will they back it up.?..

"no no I was just wondering how long you were going to be"
"I see, so apart from your musings, did you have anything constuctive you wanted to say? We are trying to have a conversation here"

It is interesting how in the absence of dialogue the negative mindset rises... just speak !! You'll be amased ..

I was known as "Bill" for years as I muttered "Phil" when asked my name in the pub by my employer.. So you see I am the shyest .mo' fu' ever, but I do it.

I'm talking especially to you Londoners. Assert your rites .. Converse!!

Way out! of this mess

Because there was the received wisdom in Whitehall that the U.S. was the cornerstone financially of the developed world. Like ailing weaklings at school, we allied ourselves to the captain of Rugby [going into Iraq]. Almost like farmers are either "in" with tesco or they may as well give up ....

Now we know that the captain was a fraud - he had over-hyped himself - to gain credit/creditors to buy a shiny Porsche - so he could get laid - cos he couldn't due to his lack of fibre or manhood...

The rightness of the likes of Minister Clare Short ..? who said don't go to Iraq - it will only fuel extremist attacks on the U.K. seem trivial now. Not to mention dead Kelly. I like to think the Gov broadly acted in our best interests - in an underhand way as they thought they knew better - they were just wrong.

Now the rot has destroyed the West's shiny facade from the inside. It is Islamic banking that is coming to the fore .. The q'uran forbids the charging of interest , just as the bible does. More Muslims follow this rule than do Christians. hence they are less effected by the credit crunch. Banque etc.. ...there 's a beautiful circularity about this - I haven't .. down on silicon

And don't say that it is easy to say that in hindsight - I've been fighting this mindset for years be it on a motorbike on the streets of EC1.... or ..

The country has been miss-lead and miss-guided countless times before. Our constitution has proved conducive to ...reconstitution and the constitution [magna carta effectively?] allows for it [and was born out of one such miss leader's misconduct - king John]

Like species that adapt to a new environment - the seeds of what made Britain [and its off-shoot the li'l' ol' U.S of A.] great which [lets face it plaid a large part in the format of civilisation today] lie dormant. Every child is born with the potential to be as creative as Isaac Newton or Brunel.. their teachers lurk in sheds all over the country pitting their engines and ingenuity against each other honing their skills like an army waiting to be called to arms. - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dqBKRo8q3rQ - Sport was devised to occupy armies between campaigns [racquets replaced swords - goals replaced castles to storm..] Motorsport and hobbies do the same for the would-be designers and drivers of manufacturing.. You only have to watch scrapheap challenge and robot wars!!

What is left to invent though ..?
Robotics
NOW is the opportunity to usher in true quality of life which we were promised.
get away from this work to spend dependant economy Innovation in social policy is required too. Leave that to me. We will be on 3 day weeks with robots doing the rest.

Why do we oppose this idea?
we NEED to earn..
Why?
...the economy feeds and depends revenue from our own people's exaggerated addiction to buying products and services because we do not export. A robotics industry would change all that.

Robbing Hoods

I am heartened that people in media manage to get their GOOD subliminal messages across to kids...

Robin hood: beware evil Governments

Dr Who.. beware evil Governments [pigs disguised as human]...

I guess the bad guys don't watch TV witheir kids ... figures.

Long may it continue that's what are seya [ Geordie 4 "I say".. dunno y juslipt out ]

sex

like many things that come from the creator and in this case are part of the process of creation [reproducing] ...sex has been abused.

I don't mean .you know... I mean that its more and more no longer a thing of love and.. it is of money and power - lucifer's department.

In certain countries that post coital haize is celebrated - here its more like a weakness..

Tax replacement

I am working on my drawing board and I like that I am drawing the engineering picture for ... MYSELF... 80 % of the normal workload is gone - communicating it to someone else!! [I know what I mean!!] makes you think.... if you do stuff yourself rather than pay someone else [and the chancellor takes his cut of wage and heating and transport] to fit something that someone else has been paid to design [and the chancellor takes his cut of wage and heating and transport], communicated it to someone else who was paid to fabricate it [and the chancellor takes his cut of wage and heating and transport].. if one just takes a day off work.
I know, I know you all consciously don't do that as you know that it is our duty - all of us to pay as much tax as possible for the common good. what? You don't? Sounds commy you say ?- oh THAT'S why you act like a staffordshire bull terrier whose mother I've just shot when faced with such ideas...You're just a brainless herding "meat-head" psycho with a white van ? .. Oh i see.

look, I know it won't work if we all lived like Tom and Barbara Good [look it up]. If the japs and germans wanted to invade [who says they need to now - they have all our cash ...[the Hondas merc' BMW's ,Audis VW's etc. you bought and the Bosche drill .. need I go on..] they could just potter over in a rib or 2 and just march into Westminster - due to depleated [inland] revenue, we'd not be able to aford an army ...or roads for that matter

I resent having to be "plaid" like lab rats, executives studying spending habits - the whole economy depending on greed and largely the absence of self reliance and basicly any morale fibre or spirituality ... I would like it if we to live a little more self determined, if we were credited with enough altruism to contribute to the common good .. I actually think that the British psyche has evolved over centuries to cater for this - It's called sticking ones' nose in everyone's business.. If someone wasn't pulling their weight they'd soon be hounded out vlillified[look this word up] and ostricised from [village] life. It's a common trait . Almost purpose built to actually serve a purpose; enforcing contributions to common good .. tax replacement!!

Raison d'etre - rather hurried - tired item sorry

What makes us human? - that expression usually means what makes us fallible.
I mean what makes us successfull compared to other animals.
Invention. To create tools ; be they axes , fire, weapons or automobiles...

Consumerism dis.courages this aspect of our nature. We tend to return to base instincts and reliance on manufactured goods - no self reliance ... and complain if it doesn't work
if it breaks buy a new one

I am a product designer .. it urks me that the best designs are overlooked unless they are in fashion or look nice .. people's intellects have gone South.. [well i would say that]

It may be that the powers that be prefer us like this as it generates more VATax... who am I 2 say?

It all tes in with the dog eat dog rat race
greed envy covetting ..violence lack of consideration...

choose not to

they won't come knocking your door in.. not just yet anyway

White Flag day

We have red nose day every year. It was a success due 2 its originality - so it got repeated and thus killed its originality.
We also have white flag with a red cross on it month every other year [Beckham dependant obviously]..

I suggest white flag day - like in WW1 at xmas they lay down their arms and just plaid football. I'm talking about road wars. like swear box - anyone who is inconsiderate gets reported - anyone who gets more than 3 calls has to pay a fine. this only applies to those who are displaying [and have therefore purchased a white [car] flag and registered their details]. Money 2 charidy

You never know, it might be WORTH repeating annually or even monthly!! Anyone without a flag is hounded off the road and hunted down with sticks... except me I'm exempt.

Incidentally has anyone get a copy the minutes from that meeting that outlawed consideration - anticipation and brought in throttle usage as a means of stressing one's superiority as a human being - I missed it. Suits those receiving revenue from tax on oil as it obviously sees more fuel used - bigger cars more leaden loud pedal boots a la clarkson [jeremi]. wonder what J would say i wonder what lucifer thinks ...its quite good for frustrating, enraging people, alienating, and preventing social harmony, wonder if he picked up on that ...see how I left the dodgy bit to the end? .. c. u. in hell
